New Domain

April 30, 2006

Hello everybody!

This would be a suprise to all, but yeah, I moved to a new domain now. Wooot wooot. You can now visit me at www.lifeinphotos.org. Wonder why? Hmm.. it was a cross between an impulse buy and a want/need buy. I love my new site and would try to update it more often. Please update your links - I’d appreciate it a lot.

Thanks,
Patricia

Blooming

April 24, 2006

Do you guys know what kind of flower is this?

Jolli
bee, is that you?

When the flower blooms, the bees come uninvited
– Ramakrishna Quotes

I snapped this one just before  I went home today. I was waiting for my coworker/friend outside the lobby - she gives me ride home. I was couple inches away from the bee. I dont want to disturb him, for I dont want to be stung. Ouch, that would hurt. But for the flower, I used the macro setting, and just literally few centimeters away. Tweaked using PaintShop Pro. :)

Misses My Baby

April 22, 2006

Nephew Jordan, 2 1/2 yo.

He’s kinda untidy in this picture, but nevertheless, he’s the only baby boy in my heart. The epitome of naughtyness, he’s such a hard kid to babysit. My whole family can testify on that. lol. But sometimes, despite being soo giddy, he remains to be a sweet boy.

As if he owns that toy car. lol.

He could be the next Kobe Bryant you know.

Bite Me

April 20, 2006

shot taken from one of the casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada

Err. I forgot the name of the casino. I guess I could say that, that’s the closest encounter I will ever get of a lion. Almost peed on myself when he bit the ball. Just kidding. :D  I thought it was me though. Soo close, the only barrier is the thick glass and a bar of metal.

Mexican Flower

April 19, 2006

taken from my neighbor’s garden :)

Im not sure what they are called. I asked my neighbor about the name, but we can’t seem to understand each other - she’s mexican & as for me, ‘no speak español señora’. So I’ll just call it, Mexican Flower :D

To Be Young

April 17, 2006

My niece (from second cousin), Audrey

I can still remember the time when I was about her age. I hung out with my older cousins, play and eat and sleep. Oh and of course study, but that was just almost the same as playing - nothing too serious. Im pretty sure, I have a pink dress as well - that’s my favorite color. To be young. Those were the days. Im still young, but responsibilities keeps popping out of nowhere. I guess when I’m already 90, that’s where I can truly say, ‘Ahh.. To be young.. and restless’.

And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.

Memories of Past

April 16, 2006

Co-workers from my previous job:

L-R: Wai & Lorlie
4th Floor, Hoeft Center Bldg, Glendale, CA

L-R: Anna (previous manager) & Norma
Italian Resto *sorry, i forgot the name*, Sacramento, CA

Ahh. Memories. Some good, some bad. Either way, it’s nice to reminisce at the past. Most especially if it’s mixed memories of happines and sadness. People come and go - that’s the harsh truth. But even if they go, they will remain part of you.

7 of my Favorite Songs

  1. Those Sweet Words - Norah Jones
  2. Meet Virginia - Train
  3. You’re Body is a Wonderland - John Mayer
  4. Hands Down - Dashboard Confessionals
  5. My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me.
So won’t you kill me, so I die happy.
My heart is yours to fill or burst,
to break or bury, or wear as jewelery,
    which ever you prefer.

  6. All These Things That I Have Done - The Killers
  7. Another head aches, another heart breaks
I am so much older than I can take
And my affection, well it comes and goes
I need direction to perfection, no no no no

  8. Scar Tissue - Red Hot Chili Peppers
  9. Good Enough - Sarah McLachlan

(it’s not easy picking the top 7 songs, but yeah i love all the above songs)

Do I need to tag 7 people? Hmm.. I decided that I’ll just leave this tag open for everybody. ;)

I was bored the other day, and decided to take some macro shots. Weird picture. lol. The face is blurred, but then the floor and the lower part of the figurine’s sharp, and so with the wings.

Happy Birthday to Me!

March 31, 2006

I got my advance birthday cake from work yesterday. My co workers sang to me, and I got the first slice of my choco cake as well.

LOL. It’s my birthday but for lunch I had Panda Express. I haven’t eaten my cake. Mom’s saving it for later. lol.  *note: Mom fixed the table. hihi.

And of course, Panda Express wont be Panda, without the fortune cookie. That’s what I got.

A gift from my cousin. She spoils me. Really. LOL. Maybe this is the start of the whole name brand thing? Eeeek. I hope not. *crossed fingers*

A gift from Denver. Awww, I really felt special. Thanks a bunch dear! :D

Green Meadows

March 27, 2006

Excerpt from the poem:

Trees Against The Sky
by Robert W. Service

Trees, trees against the sky -
O I have loved them well!
There are pleasures you cannot buy,
Treasurers you cannot sell,
And not the smallest of these
Is the gift and glory of trees. . . .
So I gaze and I know now why
It is good to live - and to die. . . .
Trees and the Infinite Sky.

A Day at the Park

March 25, 2006

I’ve been planning to go to Griffith Park since last week. Why? I don’t know. Just for kicks, just for fun. Change of scenery maybe. I had fun! :D

Me and my mom rode this mini train. Wooot!

If hunger strikes, you could buy food at the refreshment stand.

Is that a full grown horse or just a donkey? I dont have any clue.

**That’s not the whole park. All pictures from above were from the area Pony Ride & Griffith Park Southern Railroad of Griffith Park.

Do they look like sisters?

My aunt would probably strangle me to death if she finds out that I posted her pic. lol. Anyways, I love them both, so that beats the part that I plastered her face on the internet.
